Qubole Billing Guide¶
Qubole rents resources from AWS, Azure, or Oracle on your behalf as a customer of the Cloud vendor, and runs queries and jobs against data in your Cloud storage account. You are responsible for the raw compute, network, and storage costs incurred in your Cloud account; you pay these costs directly to the Cloud vendor. Qubole charges a premium for its service, based on usage. The sections that follow show how this works for each Cloud platform:

QCUH on AWS¶
The Qubole Compute Unit Hour (QCUH) is defined to be equal to the use of one m1.xlarge instance for one hour in the AWS us-east region. QDS uses a multiplier for other instance types, as follows:
