QuEST

In this release, QuEST provides various enhancements and bug fixes.

Enhancements

  • QUEST-374: Users can add Snowflake as a sink when creating streaming pipelines.
  • QUEST-370: Users can now specify a user private key when creating a Snowflake datastore from the Explore UI or by using the REST API. The user private key is required when creating structured streaming pipelines with Snowflake.
  • QUEST-205: Users can add Apache Kafka as a sink when creating streaming pipelines.
  • QUEST-186: Users can add Hive Tables as a sink when creating streaming pipelines.
  • QUEST-321: Users can now use custom code in Python language for creating a streaming pipeline.
  • QUEST-332: Users can select AVRO as one of the input formats when creating a streaming pipeline in assisted mode with Kafka as source.
  • QUEST-341: Users can add additional configurations such as user defined metadata for data written to S3 sink.

Bug Fixes

  • QUEST-352: The QuEST dashboard failed to load if the user role had any sub command that was denied. With this fix, if a user wants to create, edit, or view a pipeline, the user role must have the QuEST resource allowed for the role. Additionally, to run a pipeline the user role must have the access to run the Spark commands.
